You can enjoy the waters of Gréoux-les-Bains without a prescription and without spending three weeks. The thermal spa, the beauty salon and the short cures are open to companions and passing visitors alike.

The thermal spa

The spa plays a different card from the cure treatments: a hushed atmosphere, soft light and a slow pace. It has a thermal relaxation pool with underwater jets, a steam bath with Provençal essential oils, a weightless kaolin bath, hydromassage beds, a sauna and a hammam.

The fitness studio sits under a panoramic glass roof opening onto the park, with cardio and strength training — one of the few facilities of its kind that does not face a wall.

The beauty salon has three treatment rooms and offers facials, body treatments, relaxing massages, and hand and foot care.

The spa's opening hours vary through the season and treatments must be booked: call before you come.

Short cures, six days

A short format with no prescription: six consecutive days, four to eight treatments a day, one to two hours daily, in rheumatology or respiratory care. It is not covered by the French health insurance, but it lets you try thermal treatment without committing three weeks.

Several versions exist, including one focused on back pain — mud baths, pool mobilisation, Pilates, a "healthy back" workshop, strength training, aqua back exercises and massage — and one centred on relaxation, with thermal baths, herbal poultices, meditation, yoga and a nutrition workshop. Some programmes require a prior medical visit: mention it when you book.

Health workshops

Alongside a cure or a short cure, the spa offers supervised workshops: balance and stretching, "healthy back", oxygenating walks, Pilates, aqua aerobics, aqua biking in the thermal pool, Thermabike, yoga, Qi Gong, meditation and nutrition workshops. Sportswear is required for fitness and Qi Gong sessions.

Gréoux-les-Bains has no monopoly on wellbeing. Several hotels in the Pays de Manosque have their own spa, and independent practitioners offer massages and treatments in the villages.
